Trip 1 Bolzano-Dubrovnik-Rome - VeloSolex - 20 km/h and others
Trip 2 Munich-Istanbul-Greece-Mittenwald - Hercules Moped - 40 km/h
Unfortunately. there are no photos from the moped trip to Istanbul, and just a few from the first trip to Dubrovnik. Also shown here my Zündapp Moped, which I used for a trip to Greece, and my 125 cc Honda bike, see next trip.
Trip 3 Munich-Istanbul-Erzurum-Greece-Italy-Munich - Honda 125cc, 17 hp
This trip took me nine weeks, but I spent 4 weeks in Athens. Nice driving, Turkey is great, and I met some very helpful people.
Trip 4 Various between Dar-es-Salaam and Mbeya, Tanzania, Hondas 90cc different types, 12 hp
Shown on top is my first moped (called piki piki there) Later I had a newer one, same model, 90 cc. And finally the bike shown, a Honda Benly type.
What a feeling, riding through a national park with wildlife everywhere. I even met a lion on the road, this is something to remember. Fortunately he walked ahead of me, and I found protection. O dear!
Trip 5 To Athens with my son Felix, BMW 650 cc, 27 hp
In 2004 we decided spontaneously to visit the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece
The bike was great, actually I should not have sold her later. As you can see, my son was mainly interested in his little gaming maschine.
Trip 5 USA, with a rented Honda Silver Wing, 650 cc
Yes, this was it. Put an unsatiable desire for empty roads and Western USA in my brain, unforgotten. This is the place, and this shall be my ultimate trip.
Finally, there were some trips to Italy, e.g. to Siena with a BMW provided by a relative (Thank you, Helmut) And there, in Siena, I made the photo I like best until today, a worn out poster on an ancient wall.
